Introduction

AVN Hydraulik has been a part of the wind turbine industry since the first turbines was manufactured and erected.

We have supplied several thousands of power pack to turbines spread around the world. In the beginning the power packs was very simple and used to control the brakes on the high-speed shaft but later as the turbines grew in size we developed a power pack that controls the tip mechanism on stall turbines. This special power pack is mounted between the blades and is therefore in constant rotation.

At the same time actuators that would last 20 year or more was designed and manufactured to the same range of turbines.

A combination of brake and blade hydraulics was also manufactured to different wind turbine manufactures, using a standard rotating union to deliver oil to the actuators in the blades.

As the turbines grew even larger we developed power packs for the yaw brakes but also complete pitch systems.

Today AVN Hydraulik are placed in two locations in Denmark and have a well established R&D department focusing only on hydraulics and electronics for wind turbines combined with approximately 6.000 m2 production area.

AVN Hydraulik is of course certified after ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
